Here's the footage from my GoPro for the day!
SNUBuddy organises quite a few activities during the entire course of our exchange here and here's one of them!
This activity had limited placings though, only 120, and a lot of us had to rush to be the first 120 to comment on the Facebook post at 12am. I was 41st so I got in.
It cost only 30,000 won for a day of Paintballing and River Rafting with all meals and transport included so it really was quite a steal. (Probably heavily subsidised.)
The Hantan River is a tributary to the Han River that flows through the Gangwon and Gyeonggi provinces in South Korea. It took us 3 hours to get there by coach bus I really should have prepared something to do had I known about the duration.
Paintballing was a first for me (Excluding the one in the military because that was an entirely different level with SAR 21s) The paintballs were really cool. I took some of them back :P

Weather was mad scorching and everyone was just looking for shelter. We wore what seemed like old Korean Military uniforms, given paintball guns and sent into the jungle to shoot at the opposing team. Many of us however, were shot by our own team mates because friendly fire was not set to "off". Lol. Watch the video I posted for the footage I got from my GoPro. What I was doing in the video was kinda meaningless because all I did was realise that I'm a little too far away from the action so I kept moving up bit by bit until I came into contact with the enemy while he shot me and I shot back and eventually I got shot in the mask 2 times so I had to leave as per the rules.
Proceeded on to rafting on the Hantan River. Some of the other guys were scoffing at how calm the river was but then again they didn't call it white-water rafting for a reason. There were about 4 or 5 rapids and drops throughout the length of the river and my group did particularly well as we hardly got stuck or had people falling into the river. Our instructor kept saying we are the perfect members after every rapid. Lol.
Another highlight would definitely be the cliff diving. We leaped off this rock called the "Turtle Rock" because it kinda looks like the head of a turtle. It wasn't very high but it was still enough to give you the whooooooooooooooop feeling (I ran out of vocabulary) I always wanted to try something like that so this was kind of a wish fulfilled. The water however, was freezing and the wet clothes + cold breeze made everything worse. We rushed up to change into a new set of clothing and that feeling of comfort was really indescribable.
Dinner was an "all you can eat" BBQ buffet which didn't last very long because they probably didn't expect we were all big eaters and we cleared all their samgyeopsal meat (pork belly), rice and lettuce. So much for all you can eat. Lol. But the food was good nevertheless! They cooked the meat on concrete slabs over a charcoal flame.
One of the most adrenaline packed days thus far I really enjoyed myself together with the company today.
